Just a short note on an excellent interview on Jimmy Dore’s YouTube channel today. He had former American Green Party leader Jill Stein on for a talk about the recent comments by HRC smearing her as a “Russian asset.” I’ve noted this in my early October Rants. American politics is a bit like watching a circular firing squad where everybody appears ready to shoot the other, even if it means you’ll be shot in turn. WTF! Nutts! hardly describes it….

Jill gives an impassioned and articulate talk on the state of progressive politics in the United States and where things might be heading. And Jimmy’s comments are dead-on in his criticisms of the sorry state of the American polity at the present time. For a “jagg-off comedian operating out of his garage”, he has a lot to say. As does Jill Stein.  The 30 minute interview is worth a watch. 

As they say: Use it or lose it! The same goes for democracy. And while American politics might be entertaining to watch, Canadians should not be complacent. It will be interesting to see how the new Liberal minority government functions. I suspect they will be full of the same smug self-righteousness and entitlement as before. 
First past the post electoral reform is badly overdue.
