INTRODUCTION

I guess just about everyone and their pet goldfish puts out a blog or has a presence on social media, these days. For me, I want to keep it simple, by putting down some poetry, book reviews, commentary and other writings that hopefully people will enjoy reading, find humorous or helpful, and perhaps take away some tiny nuggets of wisdom that have chipped away from my old brain.
I apologize to anyone who is using a mobile device to read this and if the formatting is wonky. Sorry, I don’t own a cell phone; I have a landline, so mobile formatting is beyond me. My bad….
Of course, my theme song can only be the classic: "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon. Written in 1978 for the album “Excitable Boy”, it went on to become Zevon’s signature song. And it certainly fulfills my need for aural pleasure! In a 1993 interview he states:  “Listen, I don’t want to be a prick, but every single show I do, I play ‘Werewolves of London’ and it’s driving me fucking crazy.” Zevon thought the song was just a novelty item, and was surprised (and a bit horrified) at its success. He had no idea what the song would turn out to be in the end. Much like this blog.

Cheers
