FEBRUARY CRINGE PIC: APPARITION FOLLOWS PRESIDENT AT PRESSER

Cheshire Cat Spotted at White House.

 

AFTER A PRESSER, during which President Trump outlined his Gazan strategy to turn the rubble-strewn enclave into the “Riviera of the Middle East”, he left the podium, followed by what looked like a gloating Cheshire Cat. Where the feline came from and why it followed the President is unclear at this writing. C-cats often are seen to lead individuals along beneficial paths but also along malignant ones, where the smiling stops altogether.

Secret Service quickly pounced on the smiling apparition, but it seemed to weave around and out of their grasp. It followed a weary  President Trump out of the room, gradually disappearing, according to witnesses, into the sunlight of a hallway window, leaving behind a lingering smile, some thought seemed more like a smirk, until that too faded in the light.

TALKING HEADS on the evening news suggested the apparition materialized at the press conference in response to Trump’s Gazan policy proposal of sending Palestinians living in the enclave somewhere other than their homeland. The Cheshire Cat grinned, a Trump advisor proposed, because the new U.S. administration seems bound and determined to give the Israeli state everything it wants. And more. With the cat’s smile—or sneer—symbolizing that fact.

Time will tell if, in a few months, another apparition, the Ghost of Christmas Future, will visit the U.S. president, laying before him all the paths he could have taken and didn’t....
